About Holly
For years I struggled to make an icing rose and boy, was I getting frosted!
So the road to decorating beautiful cakes began with the quest to learn how to
make a frosting rose.
After completing a 3-course cake decorating class my
interest was piqued, and with further education in frosting applications, border
enhancements, buttercream floral arrangement and tiered cake construction, that
interest became a passion to decorate.
"Sugar arts" classes, demonstrations and
seminars have led me to new and exciting methods in cake decorating, and continue
to take me to new heights in creating fabulous cakes. In addition, I have been
afforded the opportunity to teach cake decorating at Sur La Table, Seattle's premier
cooking store, and at the professional level at International Cake Exploration Society conventions.
In July, 2005 I went to New Orleans to demonstrate for an international audience of professional cake
decorators at the annual ICES (International Cake Exploration Society) convention.
I attended several terrific classes, and learned many new and wonderful techniques to
bring to my customers.
I look forward to making a beautiful and delicious cake for your next special occasion!
